I have mixed feelings about Lower Manhattan's development.
I really love One World Trade, but still miss the twins.
The observation deck provides stunning views of the city I love, but the experience itself felt forced, tacky, crowded, and grossly emotionally manipulative.
I can't verbalize what I would have wanted instead. Costly fountains and expensive, macabre "museums" -- along with an observation deck more akin to the Space Mountain ride at Disney than not -- seems to miss a mark we can neither discuss or agree upon.
And why the does the new train station look like a Cylon Basestar?
